Simon Che de Boer is an internationally renowned photogram/ vologram expert, personality and virtual reality content creator. Simon was part of team that won a Lumiere award for Queen Nefertari's Tomb experience in 2020. He has also digitally captured the Large Hadron Collider as well as many other sites of cultural significance across the world. In New Zealand Simon headed up Mana VR, NZ Parliament, Sky Tower experience and the Wallace Trust Art Gallery.

Simon’s work is commonly referenced in Forbes and other technical publications for being something of a gold standard for photo-realistic real world encapsulations, gaining the company support from the likes of Epic games, Reality Capture and NVIDIA to name a few.

Simon is the team leader at realityvirtual and continues to innovate and direct research and development programs.

Inspired by another mathematician, Isaac Asimov, Max is a strong advocate for Deep Learning technology and the future that it brings along.

An adopter of the Lean Startup method, he always tries to obtain the maximum knowledge from everything he gets into.

In the free time, Maxim enjoys madness of the fastest electronic music and tranquillity of sailing.

Daniel Aston

Dan Aston is a digital artist and computer graphics engineer. He is equally interested in expressive novelty as he is uncompromising about rigorous engineering. As an early adopter of novel techniques in the field of texture synthesis and generative content creation, he is passionate about gaining insights from real world data, and exploring the possibilities of technology to facilitate new forms of creativity.

Andy is a Director of Ahi Innovation a consulting and investment company.

Investment roles:- director of The Icehouse’s investment arm, Icehouse Ventures (at scale investor in 50 start-ups per year), director of UneeQ (a digital human company), director of Auxilio Pharmaceuticals (medicinal CBD startup), investor in Blue Frog Breakfast (best breakfast experience) and an investor a few other start-ups.

Advisory roles:- partner of Indigo (innovation agency), co-founder of Manaaki (SME business support forum), advisory to Snap Delivery (pivoted delivery platform), advisory to OLT (sourcing power locally), advisory to United Machinists (machine shop of the future), advisory to the Minister for Small Business, Stuart Nash and a supporter/mentor to a bunch of other SMEs.

Dan Monaghan

CONSULTANT

Digital artist, film maker, photogrammetry pioneer. Having worked in a diverse range of roles in the film industry, Dan is a hybrid of creativity and tech. A background in the editorial departments in the film industry over the previous 20+ yrs - start young!

In his early career he worked as an assistant editor on feature films in the late 90’s (on celluloid 35mm) then progressed into Cinematography. In the early 2000’s he owned the Content Creation and TVC production company Toolbox Films located in the historic Remuera Railway Station.

Passionate in developing software to create video art centered around Augmented Reality and Photogrammetry, he is the creator of Floto an ARKit iOS app.

Photogrammetry, programming, photography, cinematography & film editing - the skills Dan brings to the table cover and incredible range.

Never one to look at a problem and not find the solution. He is the main pipeline engineer for DeepPBR. Dan has orchestrated the ever evolving RV pipeline allowing tasks the mainstream photogrammetry tools don’t. Don’t complaint the software doesn’t do it - just make the tools instead!
